About Amicus Global
Amicus Global is a socio-cultural organisation based in Adelaide, South Australia, dedicated to the advancement of inter-culturalism, support of Commonwealth of Nations and various global humanitarian projects, and patronage of emerging visual and performing artists.
Amicus Global came into being at a ‘soft launch’ in the Library Room at the Benjamin on Franklin Hotel, 233 Franklin Street Adelaide, on Tuesday 27th of June 2017. Approximately 40 guests, including the Lady Mayoress of Adelaide, Mrs Genevieve Theseira-Haese were in attendance. Amicus Global was founded from the merger of the former ‘Amicus’ committee of the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship in SA and the Australian Asian Association of SA.
Amicus Global regularly meets on a monthly basis (reduced currently due to COVID-19), please check our facebook page for updates on our upcoming events.
Our inaugural Patron in Chief is the former Lady Mayoress of Adelaide, Mrs Genevieve Theseira-Haese.
Our current Patron in Chief is the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia.
